Henshin a go go, baby!

Uhh, I'll post photos of the harrowing process of making this thing later... maybe I'll have those sketches of Dana and Larry too.
That odd ugly white thing that's attaching the cape to Joe is epoxy putty. The cape broke off, and the epoxy was not easily sculptable... so that's why it's lumpy. =(

Dug up some stuff today...

Sketches. Lots of sketches.

Hmmmm.

So one of my art friends is attempting lucid dreaming.

This can't end well.

My winning PMC drawing challenge submission

The theme was "caricature," although these guys are not as caricatured as I would have liked... I gotta push it more next time. I was also a bit worried that nobody would recognize who the people were supposed to be. After I had already submitted it, I realized that the line connecting the two orange dialogue boxes should be flipped, so that the fat part is attached to the orange box on the bottom. Itching to fix that sometime....

The two people depicted are two professors from the art dept. at Cal State Fullerton. I got the idea after I noticed that Dana would occasionally come into Larry's class to ask him stuff, probably related to being head of the art dept. You see, Dana recently succeeded Larry as the new art dept. head, so I thought that it greatly resembled the relation between Master Shifu and Master Oogway...

Next time, I'll post some of the sketches I did for this...

Two completely unrelated things

This one is old. I drew my character, Paul (his current name), in a turtle neck sweater at Jenna's request.

Next is something that I absolutely did not make.
I feel weird about posting it, because I was intending for this blog to have just my artwork on it (and uh, other people's from that drawing game thing).

But, this photo... is just really cool.
And I guess it relates to what I want to achieve in my art.
Awesome photo. Who are these kids? They almost seem to be reenacting a poster for a fighting game or something. It's kind of surreal.

Drawing club stuff part 3

Edit: Other people's drawings can viewed on the Drawing Club website http://www.thedrawingclub.com/workshop/1960s-mod-fashion/ Hrrmm, my drawings on that site look better than they do here. I ought to start using Photoshop on my scans...

Went to The Drawing Club again, this time with James Lien, Kevin Lam, and this girl named Mung Mung (or is it Meng Meng?). http://www.thedrawingclub.com/
Was surprised at what I was able to draw this time!
